Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
There was a reduction in reported Part-1 crimes over the past week with only three. The first was an assault with a deadly weapon in the 27300 block of Arriola Avenue on January 19th. The victim was having a party at his residence when a fight broke out. The suspect retrieved a baseball bat and struck one person and attempted to strike others at the party. He then fled the location.
There was a vehicle burglary in the 22900 block of Oak Ridge Drive between January 12th and January 13th. The victim discovered his window smashed and stereo equipment stolen.
A vehicle burglary was reported at the corner of Los Tigres Drive/Diaz Drive between January 12th and January 13th. The victim discovered his van had been broken into and high dollar work equipment was stolen.
Detectives are asking that if anyone has any information on the two vehicle burglaries to please contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
There were multiple arrests over the past week. The arrests include narcotics, theft and assault.
