Snapshot for 03/10/2014 to 03/16/2014
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(2) Robberies, (1) Commercial Burglary, (1) Grand Theft, (1) Petty Theft, (1) Shoplift
A robbery occurred near the 20600 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Two suspects entered the location and stole merchandise that were on display. Store employees confronted the suspects and demanded they return the property. When confronted, one of the suspects brandished a firearm and both suspects fled the location. A short time later, both suspects were located by deputy personnel and arrested. It was later determined the firearm used in this incident was a BB gun. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A robbery occurred near the 19400 block of Soledad Canyon Road. One suspect entered the location and stole a bottle of vodka and deodorant. When confronted by Loss Prevention, the suspect immediately relinquished the bottle of vodka back to Loss Prevention. The suspect then brandished two handguns and pointed them at Loss Prevention and subsequently fled the location. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A commercial burglary occurred near the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. The suspect forced open the rear door lock and made entry into the location. While inside the suspect did not take any property. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A grand theft occurred near the 21400 block of Golden Valley Road. The suspect entered the location and stole three complete boxes of welding machines totaling over $4000.00. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A petty theft occurred near Whispering Leaves Drive and Sierra Estates Drive. The suspect stole mail from a mail box that was located near the intersection. A day later the victim received a phone call from a nearby bank stating two suspects were attempting to cash a check in the victims name. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A shoplifting occurred at the Walmart on Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect entered the location and began concealing miscellaneous tools that were on display. Loss Prevention confronted the suspect outside of the location after he made no attempt to pay for the concealed items. Deputy personnel arrived and arrested the suspect. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
