Taking the lead of Santa Clarita Artists’ Association as president in 2015 is Norma Warden. SCAA has been making visual arts visible in Santa Clarita for 26 years.
“I’m very excited to be at the helm of such a talented group of artists! Our 2015 goals include our Scholarship Program (since 1991) and raising funds to open our own gallery.” During the past year, Warden was very instrumental in spearheading the SCAA Gallery Shows and receptions at Westfield Mall in Valencia.
Warden is a fine art photographer and a graduate of The New York Institute of Photography with over 20 years experience in creating photographic images. Also, she is Treasurer of F-Stops Camera Club, Treasurer of Valley West Camera Club and is the Chairman of the Black and White Photography Division of the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs, a division of the Photographic Society of America.
She has received many awards and recognition for her work. Currently her work is on exhibit at La Galeria Gitana in San Fernando, CA., and in many private collections. Warden resides in Castaic, where she lives in a four-generation household with her mother-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, and three grandchildren. She has another daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in Studio City.
“Family means everything to me,” says Norma.
