Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2

There was one Part 1 Crime in Zone 2.  One vehicle theft was reported.  During an argument while driving, the boyfriend, and driver of the vehicle, refused to let his girlfriend get out of the car.  While stopped at a stop sign, the female, and owner of the vehicle, exited and ran from her boyfriend.  The boyfriend drove off with the girlfriend’s car without her permission.  Several hours later the boyfriend was located by Deputies and the vehicle was recovered.  The man was arrested for the theft of the vehicle.

Please remember to close your garage doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle.  Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.  If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
