Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Commercial Burglary, (1) Grand Theft, (1) Petty Theft, (1) Burglary to a Vehicle, (5) Shopliftings, (2) Stolen Vehicles
An aggravated assault occurred near the 18700 block of Bainbury Street. The suspect and victim, who are brothers got into a heated argument. During the argument the suspect retrieved a corkscrew from his pocket and sliced the victim in the forearm. The suspect was arrested at the scene. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 28300 block of Hawks Ridge Drive. The victim’s residence was foreclosed on early last month. When the victim returned early this month to retrieve his property he noticed his AR-15 rifle and Apple computer were missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the location. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A commercial burglary occurred near the 26500 block of Ruether Avenue. The side door to the location was pried open. The suspect made entry into the location and possibly stole cash from the register. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A grand theft occurred near Honby Avenue and Soledad Canyon Road. The victim observed an unknown male standing near his vehicle with a car jack. When confronted the suspect dropped an object and sped off in a waiting vehicle. The object was later identified as the victim’s catalytic converter that was cut from his vehicle. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A burglary to a vehicle occurred near the 19300 block of Stillmore Street. The suspect made entry into the victim’s vehicle with an unknown tool and stole the speakers and an amplifier. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
On 02-10-14 there were three separate incidents of shoplifting from Walmart on Carl Boyer Drive. Two of the incidents resulted in arrests and the third is still outstanding. All three incidents are under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A stolen vehicle was reported near the 19200 block of Drycliff Street. While the victim was reporting his vehicle as stolen, deputies on scene observed a vehicle matching the description near the area. They detained the driver and determined the vehicle driven was the victims’ stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested at the scene. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
