Hope he/she is o.k. were they hurt on one of the rides?
Any details?
Airlifted as a precaution?? Um no. Wonder what happened
Flying a child to a pediatric specialty center can definitely be precautionary. It is not uncommon to over triage a patient – over triaging is better than under triaging.
I do believe that any injury regarding a child, they are airlifted to children’s hospital as a precaution. Hopefully all is well
Yes. When airlifted, they go to children’s hospital.
It is the paramedics call I believe. Sis was in the ambulance ready to be taken to the hospital but they decided to call in the helicopter due to the type of injuries.
Northridge Hospital is also a Pediatric Trauma Center.
A little more information please
Any more details … ???

Maggie Romero you guys okay?
Yes, wasn’t us. Thank you for checking in on us.
Thanks for no info!
Did you expect anything else from the media?
Happens more often than you’d think. If it was ride-related, you’d know. Usually is either a pre-existing condition or dehydration or something of that nature.

What? How come, don’t have time to read it now
It doesn’t say!!!
WTF
Thank for leaving us all hanging with a horrible no info article.. ?
Exactly!! Wth
Did you expect medical records or something? Legally nobody can comment on what happened to the patient due to this little thing called Doctor-Patient Confidentiality. The only way you would ever find out what happened is if it happened on a ride and was a matter of public safety.
Always!!!!!
Cory Rubin yeah, but to post this as an “article” is a waste, do you honestly think they sent a reporter or did any type of reporting? I am SURE more info could’ve been obtained beyond a cursory phone call….
Hell, if I was there, I would’ve found out what happened, try asking people that were THERE.
Cory Rubin no not trying to get the medical records.. just a general idea what happened.
Brenda don’t bother with that guy. He obviously has superior intelligence…!
Very true!
In my 4 years there, there were 5 people airlifted from Magic Mountain. 3 were medical conditions (seizures, heat stroke etc.) one kid was climbing on railing and fell and hit his head, and 1 climbed a fence to get his hat and was a man that got hit by the roller coaster, Ninja. Guess which one was the only one reported on by the news. Likely the only people that have any idea what happened are the parents, a few employees (for whom speaking to the media is grounds for instant termination and a permanent no-rehire status) and the paramedics (whom are bound by doctor-patient confidentiality) so yeah… good luck getting any more information than was reported
And for the record, I do agree that the “article” was kinda unnecessary
Nothing wrong with having a brain Cory Rubin
Cory Rubin not expecting medical records but would like to know if it was an injury on a ride… That’s all…
Nidia Lopez Pulido if it was, every media outlet would be all over it.
Cory Rubin there are other people at the park as well, just saying. But as long as we all agree that this was a pretty lame attempt at a “breaking story”. I like that though, rather than some of the other stories in more crime ridden cities. :D
Maira S Villalobos
Um, you left out the article in this here “article.”

Kelli …not sure what happened but when we got there at 3pm the line to the parking lot was already long…next thing we saw was a helicopter coming up from the parking lot and lots n lots of police cars.
I hope those people r ok though ?
Gary Rosenauer, I didn’t think they were open during the week right now!! I’m so confused!
Yeah, first thing I thought was “Wait, they’re OPEN on Wednesdays!?! Oh, hope the kid’s ok! ;)
It’s yom Kippur and I believe lausd is closed for it so they took the opportunity to be open
Oh, that explains why it was so crowded today.
They’re open everyday through Halloween. Fright Fest.
Yeah I didn’t mean to not show compassion toward the child! Hope al is well ?
They were only open today for a bring a friend free for pass holders and LAUSD having the day off as well. They aren’t open everyday through Halloween . They are still only open on the weekends.
Fright Fest is only Friday- Sunday.
Yeah, Frightfest is Friday-Sunday, which is a BUMMER, because I LOVE weekdays at the mountain, because I really don’t like people. Hahaha.
Why is parking lot wet – didn’t rain – stock file pix?

I saw the helicopter landing on my way to my car. It was in a weird area by Scream & dirt was flying everywhere. My son & his cousins were waiting for me by the valet area. After I mentioned the helicopter, they told me that there was a girl that was riding Viper the same time they were and she got carried out in a stretcher. They said she was passed out & not responding. Hope she’s okay. We’ve been praying for her.
I’m Glad Tony didn’t go after all…..
