Circus Vargas is set to return to Santa Clarita with a brand new show June 18-22 at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
Children of all ages and adults alike can be thrilled and enchanted by the circus’s 2015 edition, ArleQuin.
“Steeped in tradition and devoted to all things magnificent and happy, Circus Vargas presents an array of unparalleled artists and performers dedicated to captivate and astound you,” event officials said, calling it “an amazing experience, where new memories are created and treasured for generations to come.”
ArleQuin tells the story of a boy who dreams of joining the circus, according to the website.
“When night falls, a myriad of colorful characters fill his sleep, among them, the magical ArleQuin, a harlequin who serves as both guide and friend and shows him the beauty, wonder and awe that await him under the Big Top,” officials said.
Spectators can watch performer Monica Neves move across the ceiling hanging by her feet alone– 30 feet in the air and without a net –in the “Upside Down” act.
“Aerial Lyra” is an elegant aerial display performed by Cathy Poema, who showcases her strength, agility and grace while suspended midair from the apex of the cupola.
Be thrilled by the Dominguez brothers, Jayson and Erick, as they defy the laws of gravity in their danger-filled acts, “Globe of Death” and “Wheel of Death.” Performed with Chiara Anastasini, the brothers circle the steel “Globe of Death” on dirt bikes, and take part in a daring duel with no harnesses or safety nets on top of a 35-foot steel revolving pendulum while it spins at high speeds in the “Wheel of Death.”
Other awe-inspiring acts include trampolines, clowns, illusions of magic, the flying trapeze and much more.
