The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control will be participating in the Bow-Wows & Meows Pet Fair.
The 18th Annual Bow-Wows & Meows Pet Fair will be held this Sunday, Oct. 14, 2017 where hundreds of cats and dogs will be available for adoption. This year’s pet fair will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Newhall’s William S. Hart Park. The address is 24151 Newhall Avenue, Santa Clarita, CA 91321.
Adoption fees will be discounted to $30 and a veterinary team will present to answer any questions. Every County pet is spayed or neutered, immunized, micro-chipped, and ready to take home that day. We are hoping to break last year’s record number of 148 adoptions.
“This collaborative and exciting event will elevate the visibility of our animal care centers, and help even more of our animals to find new families” says DACC Director Marcia Mayeda. Other activities this year include high-flying canines catching Frisbees, The Famous Fun Dog Show, raffles, food trucks, pet supply vendors, two adopt-a-pet parades, and more.
The family friendly event is free to the public and well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend but must be on a leash.
You can find more information about the event at www.BowWowsAndMeows.org.

We adopted “Eddie” 4 years ago, and he has turned out to be a great find. The ‘ol’ Who found Whom cliché.
His personality was so great that he is now a certified Therapy Dog at Henry Mayo, and in the SCV Library “Read” program. Even if you already have a dog, it is an entertaining afternoon, for both you, and your dog.
