06/28/16

Burglary (Vehicle) – 24900 Pico Canyon Road

Person(s) unknown smashed the passenger window of her vehicle and stole her wallet containing her credit/debit cards, driver’s license, and $300.00 in U.S. currency. The wallet had been left on the floor of the vehicle.

06/29/16

Burglary – 25900 The Old Road

Person(s) unknown entered the building by cutting a hole in the roof and ceiling. The suspect(s) then cut a hole through an interior wall which was adjacent to the store safe. The suspect(s) then cut a hole through the side of the safe and stole $9,744.00 in U.S. currency. Damages to the building totaled $2,700.00.

Tip of the Week: Surrendering Illegal Fireworks

Last night was a very busy 4th of July for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station as there were a massive amount of complaints regarding illegal fireworks. Deputies did confiscate a significant amount of illegal fireworks and wrote citations to those possessing them. In many cases, people said they thought those marked ‘Safe and Sane’ were legal. They are not. ALL TYPES OF FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN SANTA CLARITA. As such, there may be those who have leftover fireworks from the celebration. For the safety of our citizens, our city, and our homes, we are asking that people DO NOT use these fireworks. Any type of unused fireworks may be surrendered to any local Los Angeles County Fire Station anonymously and without receiving a citation. Thank you, and have a safe summer.
