A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week:
Sometime between December 12th, and January 9th, a bicycle was stolen from the parking area of an apartment complex in the 24900 block of Walnut Street.
On Friday January 10th, at 2:45 a.m., a sliding glass door on the Newhall library was shattered.
On Thursday January 9th, a 1994 Honda Accord was stolen from the apartments in the 24400 block of Lyons Avenue. The vehicle is still outstanding.
Between Sunday January 5th, and Monday January 6th, a vehicle was burglarized in the 23400 block of Newhall Avenue. The lock was pried on the bed cover and 2 big screen TV’s were stolen.
On January 9th, proactive deputies patrolling the Newhall area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a code violation. The deputies discovered the driver was on probation for narcotics, and upon further investigation, arrested the 43 year old driver for possession of narcotics.
Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
