Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(1) Murder, (1) Robbery, (2) Residential Burglaries, (1) Commercial Burglary, (3) Vehicle Burglaries, (3) Theft From Unlocked Vehicles, (2) Petty Thefts, (1) Shoplift and (1) GTA.
A murder occurred near the 26800 block of Claudette Street when a female victim was shot at the location. A male suspect was arrested in North Hills by LAPD after shooting a second female. The case is currently under investigation by The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau.
An armed robbery occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Two male suspects produced a firearm and demanded money from workers at a recycling center. After a short struggle, one victim was able to wrestle a firearm away from one of the suspects. During the course of the investigation, one male suspect was arrested.
A residential burglary occurred near the 28000 block of Langside Avenue. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence and took approximately $10,000 dollars.
A residential burglary occurred near the 19400 block of Stillmore Street. An unknown suspect shattered a front window to the residence and, upon entering, took a checkbook.
There were several vehicle burglaries/thefts from unlocked vehicles near the 20400 block of Soledad Canyon Road. An arrest was made during one incident and the case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station C.O.B.R.A. Detectives.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. An unknown suspect shattered a rear window of the vehicle and took a gym bag containing approximately $92,000 from the back seat.
A gym locker burglary occurred at the 24 HR Fitness located at 18645 Via Princessa. The victim locked her belongings in a locker prior to working out and upon returning, noticed her lock and wallet were missing. The victim’s credit cards were also used at local businesses.
A petty theft/shoplift occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. A female suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel after walking out of the location, failing to pay for several items. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies.
A 1994 Acura Integra was stolen near the 14 Freeway and Golden Valley Road. The vehicle was recovered the next day in the San Fernando Valley. A suspect was arrested.
