The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has released its public safety and crime information report for Valencia (Zone 5) for the week of December 11:
12/11/17, Monday
Commercial Burglary – 24000 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
Person(s) unknown broke into the location and stole several thousand dollar’s-worth of merchandise. The suspects made entry into the location during early morning hours.
12/12/17, Tuesday
Petty Theft – 27000 block of Mirasol Street
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s unlocked car and stole a wallet and then used his credit cards to make unauthorized purchases.
12/13/17, Wednesday
Attempted burglary – 25000 block of Avenida Rotella
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s home while it was being tented. The unknown suspect cut a hole in the tent and tried to enter the home, but was unable to make entry.
12/15/17, Friday
Petty Theft – 24000 block of Valencia Boulevard
An unknown female walked into the business and bought a pair of pants. As she was walking out of the location, she grabbed seven pairs of pants and fled the area.
12/16/17, Saturday
Shoplifting – 24000 block of McBean Parkway
A male adult walked into the location and asked to see a ring. The suspect was handed the ring and then ran out of the store without paying for the item.
Holiday Tips
Carefully inspect holiday light strings and discard any with frayed cords, cracked lamp holders, or loose connections.
Try to purchase a freshly cut tree, as they are more resistant to ignition. Keep it watered and away from open candles.
