02/20/17 Monday

Grand Theft/Burglary (Shoplifting)-24200 block of Magic Mtn Pkwy
Three female suspects were arrested at the location for stealing over $10,000 of beauty products.

Petty Theft- 26400 block of McBean Parkway
A female suspect was arrested at the location for trying to exit the store without paying for items in her possession.

Unauthorized use of access card- 24100 block of Baywood Lane
While the victim was at the location, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet and went to a few local stores, making large purchase with her credit cards.

Petty Theft -24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
While his bicycle was parked at the location an unknown suspect stole his bike from the bike rack.

02/21/17 Tuesday

Theft from unlocked vehicle- 22800 block of Rio Clara Drive
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked car and stole a few personal items.

Grand Theft – 24300 block of Town Center Drive
An unknown suspect stole several ½” pressure regulators from the location. Also stolen was several copper valves near the severed pipes.

Theft -24400 block of Town Center Drive
While two victim(s) were at the location an unknown suspect stole thitems from inside their locked lockers including an iPhone, U.S. Currency, wallet, credit cards.

Grand theft- 26600 block of Auto Center Drive
An unknown suspect stole a water meter from the location.

Grand Theft Vehicle/Attempted Grand Theft -25000 block of Anza Drive
An unknown suspect stole a van from the location. The suspect tried to steal three other vans from the business as well. Inside the vans were carpet cleaning kits.

Petty Theft -26000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet while she was paying for items inside the store. The victim left her wallet on the front seat of her car.

02/22/17 Wednesday

Grand Theft – 24100 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
An unknown male suspect entered the location and stole several pair of Levi jeans totaling over $1000.

Robbery (Strong arm) -24200 block of Valencia Boulevard
A male suspect was arrested at the location for trying to exit the store after stealing numerous clothing items from the store. Once outside the store the suspect was confronted by loss prevention and punched the loss prevention officer on the side of his face. The suspect was detained and arrested by responding deputies.

Petty Theft -28000 block Newhall Ranch Road
An unknown suspect made entry into the store and tried to return items totaling $162.76. The suspect provided a fake name and address in attempt to get the money.

Petty Theft -23000 block of Valencia Boulevard
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s bicycle from outside of the location. The bike was locked to a bike rack.

02/23/17 Thursday

Petty Theft -24200 block of Valencia Boulevard
Three female suspects entered the location, and one of the suspect(s) stole items as the other two suspect(s) acted as lookouts.

Petty Theft – 24900 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
An unknown suspect stole a package from the front porch of the victim’s home.

Petty Theft – 24400 block of Town Center Drive
The victim left her stroller at the location while she was working out. An unknown suspect stole a pouch containing miscellaneous gift cards.

02/24/17 Friday

Burglary -24700 block of Riverchase Drive
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked garage by unknown means and stole several items totaling over several $1000.

02/25/17 Saturday

Grand Theft -24200 block of Valencia Boulevard
An unknown suspect entered the location and stole two electronic skateboards totaling over $1000.

Petty Theft -24100 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
Two unknown females entered the location and walked out with several pairs of men’s Levi jeans. The suspect(s) then exited the store and made no attempt to pay for the items.

Assault with a deadly weapon/Criminal Threats -23800 block of Arroyo Park Drive
A male suspect was arrested at the location for threating to kill his brother while holding a knife.

Burglary (Business) -24300 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
While the victim was inside the location,an unknown suspect smashed the front window and tried to gain entry into the location. The victim yelled and the suspects fled the location.

ATM Safety & Security Tips

The following crime prevention tips can help make the use of ATM’s safer for everyone.

* Walk purposefully with confidence. Give the appearance that you are totally aware of your surroundings

* Be aware of your total environment and what is going on around you. Criminals tend to avoid people who have this type of demeanor

* Follow your instincts. If you feel you are in danger, respond immediately. Remember that your personal safety is the first priority

Considerations Prior To and During Transactions

* Always watch for suspicious persons or activity around an ATM. Be aware of anyone sitting in a parked car in close proximity or at a distance from the ATM location

* If you notice anything strange, leave and return some other time. Even if you have already started a transaction, cancel it and leave.

* Maintain a small supply of deposit envelopes at home, in your car or office. Prepare all transaction paperwork prior to your arrival at the ATM site. This will minimize the amount of time spent at the ATM.

* Maintain an awareness of your surroundings throughout the entire transaction. Do not become so involved with your transaction that you are not aware of changing conditions in the area.

* Do not wear expensive jewelry or take other valuables to the ATM. This is an added incentive to an assailant.

* If you get cash – put it away immediately. Do not stand at the ATM and count it.

* Never accept offers of assistance with the ATM from strangers; ask the bank for help.

* Never lend your ATM card to anyone; treat it as if it were cash or a credit card.

* If you use a drive-up ATM, ascertain your vehicle doors and windows are locked.

* During evening hours, consider taking a companion along, park close to the ATM in a well-lighted area and lock your car. If the lights around the ATM are not working properly, do not use it.

* When leaving an ATM location, make sure you are not being followed. If you are being followed, drive immediately to a police, sheriff, fire station, crowded area, well-lighted location or open business. Flash your lights and sound your horn to bring attention to your situation.

* If you are involved in a confrontation and the attacker is armed with a weapon and demands your money or valuables, GIVE IT TO THE SUSPECT. Do not resist, property may be recovered later or replaced.
