Valencia: Crime Report for the Week of July 4 – July 10, 2016

07/04/16

Petty Theft- 24700 block of Riverchase Drive. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s bicycle which was on his porch prior to the theft.

Petty Theft- 23800 block of Valencia Boulevard. While the victim was working at the location, an unknown suspect stole 150 dollars from her wallet.

Petty Theft- 24100 block of Del Monte Drive. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s car which was left unlocked. The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone.

07/05/16

Burglary/Sexual Battery- 24600 block of Town Center Drive. The suspect entered the victim’s residence against her will and got into bed with her. The suspect, an acquaintance of the victim, then rubbed the victim’s back before offering sex to her. The victim refused and asked the suspect to leave the location. The suspect complied and left her home.

Grand Theft/Possession of a Billy Club/Vandalism- 25100 block of Avenue Stanford. The suspect was arrested from the location for trying to steal rims and wheels from a car. The suspect ran from deputies when they arrived on scene. The suspect was located and arrested a short time later.

07/06/16

Grand Theft-26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. Two suspects entered the location and stole two laptops from the store.

Take Vehicle without owner’s consent- 23700 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. A male suspect was arrested from the location for stealing a car from the local dealership. The suspect was able to drive off the lot with the car due to the keys being left in the vehicle.

Robbery (Home invasion) Assault with a deadly weapon/Vehicle Theft/Felon in possession on firearm -25700 block of Tournament Road. The suspect went to the location to try and get some money from the victim’s grandson. The suspect forced entry into the location and held the victim at gun point and ransacked his home. The suspect then stole the victim’s car and fled the location. The suspect was arrested a short distance from the location without incident.

Petty Theft- 24100 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. Two female suspects were arrested at the location for exiting the store without paying for the concealed items.

Petty Theft- 24300 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s skateboard from the location.

Burglary (Business) – 242700 block of Valencia Boulevard. Suspect(s) unknown entered the location through the front door by smashing the glass and trying to stealing items from inside.

07/08/16

Petty Theft- 24400 block of Town Center Drive. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet.

07/09/16

Grand Theft- 26100 block of Huerta Drive. The victim parked his vehicle in his driveway of his residence overnight and left his vehicle unlocked. When he returned to his vehicle he noticed his laptop and several other items missing from inside the car.

Petty Theft- 25900 block of Pueblo Drive. The victim left his wallet in the car on the seat of his vehicle in plain view. When the victim returned to his car in the morning he noticed his wallet was missing.

Assault with a deadly weapon- 27400 block of Whitefield Place. The victim and the suspect were involved in a fight at the location. The suspect pulled a knife out on the victim and tried to stab her in the stomach. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Burglary (School) 25500 block of Fedala Road. 3 adults and 1 juvenile were arrested from the location for entering the school and stealing several items including computers and cameras. All the items were recovered from the suspects.

Sunday 07/10/16

Burglary (Vehicle burglary) -27400 block of Wayne Mills Place. The victim parked his vehicle in the parking lot during the overnight hours. When they went out to their car in the morning they noticed the rear backseat was missing from their vehicle.

Crime Prevention

When you go to work, don’t leave your crime prevention sense at home. Almost any crime that can happen at home or in your neighborhood, can happen in the workplace. But common-sense prevention skills can help make life “at work” safer for all.

Office Theft

* Keep your purse, wallet, keys, or other valuable items with you at all times or locked in a drawer or closet.

* Check the identity of any strangers who are in your office — ask whom they are visiting and if you can help them find that person. If this makes you uncomfortable, inform security or management about your suspicions.

* Report any broken or flickering lights, dimly lit corridors, doors that don’t lock properly, or broken windows. Don’t wait for someone else to do it.

* Be discreet. Don’t advertise your social life or vacation plans and those of your coworkers to people visiting or calling your place of work.
