A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week.
On Saturday the 1st, a 17 year old male was detained at a business in the 23400 block of Lyons Avenue after fighting with security during a theft.
Between Monday the 27th at 11:00 p.m., and Tuesday the 28th at 8:30 a.m., an iPod was stolen from a vehicle inside a garage in the 23800 block of Canerwell Street. The garage was opened with the door remote which was stolen from the victims other unlocked vehicle parked outside.
On Thursday the 30th, at 2:50 p.m., a 17-year-old male was detained in the 24100 block of Lyons Avenue for shoplifting alcohol.
Between Friday the 24th, and Monday the 27th, a two-way radio was stolen from a business in the 24600 block of Walnut Street.
A bicycle was stolen from the 24700 block of Valley Street sometime between Friday the 31st and Monday the 2nd.
Between Monday the 27th, and Tuesday the 28th, a Toyota truck was stolen from the 24700 block of Fourl Road. The truck has not been recovered yet.
Between Monday the 27th at 6:00 p.m., and Tuesday the 28th at 7:50 a.m., a set of wireless headphones and a book were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 23900 block of Canerwell Street.
On Friday the 31st, a 27 year old female was arrested near 4th Street and Pine Street for possession of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia.
Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
