Tip of the week: Preventing Mail Theft
Stevenson Ranch has been experiencing several incidents regarding mail box tampering and mail theft. Here are some tips to help avoid being a victim:
1. Check your mail DAILY, and as close to the time of delivery as possible.
2. NEVER leave your mail in your mailbox overnight.
3. Invest in a secured mailbox which requires a key for access.
4. Avoid using your mailbox for outgoing mail. Drop off outgoing mail at the post office or use a secured street-side mailbox.
5. If you are going to be away, have a friend or family member collect your mail DAILY for you.
Take care.
