Dec. 1: City, EDC Hosting Free Workshop on Business-Friendly Tax Credit

calcompetesThe Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corp., in partnership with the Go-Biz and the City of Santa Clarita, will host a workshop on the California Competes Tax Credit on Dec. 1.

The workshop will focus on how to apply for the California Competes Tax Credit. The California Competes Tax Credit is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to come to California or stay and grow in California.

Small, medium, and large businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive instructions on how to apply for this tax credit system. Come and learn how your business can apply for millions in tax credits.

$75M in tax credits will be available for the next round of applications, which is open between January 4, 2016 – January 25, 2016.

SCVEDC encourages Santa Clarita Valley companies to apply for the tax credit, and is available to assist.

The workshop and the program are free and available to the businesses of all sizes.
