Come celebrate William S. Hart’s birthday with a holiday-themed Western-style concert performed by The Tumbling Tumbleweeds in the William S. Hart Museum on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Guests will relax in Bill Hart’s Living Room amongst his amazing collection of Western artwork and Native American artifacts while this award-winning Western band performs their own unique acoustic concert featuring songs, stories, humor, and, as they put it, “a bit of fancy western footwork.”

About The Tumbling Tumbleweeds: Douglas B. Green, “Ranger Doug” of Riders In The Sky has this to say, “Great harmony, creative arrangements, keeping the Tradition alive.” As their name suggests, The Tumbling Tumbleweeds are a tribute to the era that gave us the singing cowboys like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the great swingtime cowboy band, The Sons of the Pioneers. Their newest CD, “Blaze Across the West,” was just named by the Western Music Association as the 2011 Traditional Western Album by a Duo/Group.

Light refreshments will be provided. Self-tours of the Hart Museum, fully resplendent in stunning holiday decorations, will also be a part of the evening’s festivities. This former home of the famed silent film star exhibits collections of artwork by artists Charles Russell and Frederic Remington, sculptures by Charles Cristadoro, and artifacts from various Native American cultures.
