Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary invites the community to its annual Service of Remembrance on Tuesday, Dec. 11, starting with music at 6 p.m.

The musical entertainment will be followed by a one-hour non-denominational service designed to provide an opportunity to remember cherished loved ones who are dearly missed, especially during the holiday season.

The event will be held in the chapel at Eternal Valley, 23287 North Sierra Highway in Newhall.

In addition, Eternal Valley is proud to participate in the toy drive for needy children in the community sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. New, unwrapped toys can be brought to the Service of Remembrance or dropped off at Eternal Valley any time between Dec. 5-21.

“The holidays are usually a joyous time filled with special memories, however, they can be difficult after the loss of a loved one,” said Patti Palominos, Mortuary Manager, Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary. “If you or someone you know is struggling or wants a special way to reflect on a loved one this season, we hope to provide the support and place they need to gather, share and remember.”

The Service of Remembrance will include music by pianist Douglas Sprague, and the Valencia High School Choir under the direction of Christine Tavares-Mocha. Pastor Bill Haley of First Christian Church of Canyon Country and Pastor David Espinoza of Trinity Church San Fernando will provide words and prayers of solace and comfort. The candle lighting and refreshments will follow.
