Honoring its commitment to provide extended service for the families it serves and the community, Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary announces its annual, non-denominational Service of Remembrance on Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Hills at 23287 North Sierra Highway in Newhall.  The community is welcome to participate.

“As we approach the end of another year, our minds are filled with memories of years past and loved ones who are gone.  At Eternal Valley, we realize that this may be a difficult time of year for families and friends,” said Rachel Vargas, general manager of Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, a local Dignity Memorial provider.  “The holiday season can be especially difficult for families and friends who have lost a loved one recently.  Our Service of Remembrance has become a tradition that brings comfort and support to many in our community.”

The program will offer insight and practical advice about how to make it through the holidays. The ceremony will conclude with a candlelight memorial service designed to inspire and encourage families and friends as they remember and honor loved ones in a very special way.  There will also be a memorial pictorial tribute including photos of loved ones who have been lost. Families may submit a photo to be shown during the tribute by emailing rachel.vargas@dignitymemorial.com or by bringing the photo to the mortuary by Dec. 5.  Refreshments will be served following the service.
