LANCASTER – The Lancaster JetHawks, playing as El Viento de Lancaster for the sixth time this year, took down Rancho Cucamonga, 13-7, at The Hangar Friday night.
The JetHawks improved to 11-5 versus the Quakes this season.
Sean Bouchard and Ryan Vilade (pictured above) led the charge on offense for Lancaster (2-0, 36-34). Bouchard led off the second inning with a home run, the first of two for him in the game. Bouchard reached base five times and is 8-for-8 to start the Second Half of the 2019 season.
El Viento scored five in the second inning, knocking out Rancho starter Michael Grove (0-3). Lancaster scored four more in the fourth inning and added four more in their final two at-bats.
Vilade had three hits for Lancaster, extending his latest hitting streak to eight games. He drove in two with a single in the fourth inning. Bouchard and Vilade hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning to seal the win for El Viento.
Will Gaddis (4-5) earned the win for Lancaster. He allowed four runs over six innings. It was the fifth consecutive start of at least six innings for Gaddis.
Rancho Cucamonga (0-2, 41-29) got another big game from Donovan Casey. The outfielder homered twice, giving him three in the series. Devin Mann also hit one out of the park for the Quakes.

With the win, the JetHawks are 2-0 to start the Second Half of the season. Lancaster is 11-5 against the Cucamonga Quakes this season.
The four-game series continued on Saturday night.
