Stay Green Inc., a family-owned and operated landscape services company based in Santa Clarita, announced Tuesday it has acquired Wurzel Landscape, a Studio City-based commercial landscape maintenance company founded by Marc Wurzel in 1975.

Effective immediately, the acquired operations become a part of Stay Green with additional details to be disclosed at a later date.

“Wurzel Landscape is an established local organization with an excellent reputation and great people. We’re thrilled to welcome them into the Stay Green family,” said CEO Chris Angelo, who is also the incoming chairman of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce.

“We’ve been searching for the right company to complement our growing position in the region,” Angelo said. “This purchase will strengthen our core services and enable us to be even more competitive.”

Landscape Management Magazine named Stay Green one of the top 150 landscape contractors in the nation.
