A girl who was found unconscious Saturday afternoon at Six Flags Magic Mountain was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The identity of the girl, age 10, is not being released at this time, and an autopsy has not been completed, a coroner’s official said.

Fire Department officials responded to a report of a girl being found unconscious at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

“Late (Saturday afternoon), a 10-year-old female guest returned to the Revolution station after riding and was found breathing but unconscious,” Six Flags Magic Mountain officials said in a statement. “Paramedics were immediately called to the scene and the guest was transported via helicopter to a local hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with the guest and her family.”

Park officials did not release any additional information regarding the nature of the incident, or the girl’s injuries.

Fire officials received the call at 4:09 p.m., arrived at the park at 4:17 p.m., an had the patient en route to the local hospital at 4:45 p.m., according to Inspector Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The girl’s death was reported to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office at 4:58 p.m., said Lt. Fred Corral.

  17. I remember when I was shorter. That ride would make my head shake around a lot between the safety bar and I’d get off with sore ears. Maybe she had an undiscovered brain aneurysm that burst with the impact…Or could someone literally be scared to death?

  30. I have worked at six flags and I can say myself some of those old rides are not sad at all. We would have to ride them at least 3 times a day for test purposes. There has been time when my and my co-workers would do the test ride and come back saying I have a ringing in my head. The old rides are not safe. When we would try to tell our supervisor, they would laugh it off.

  31. Leticia Mederos show Vivi.

  32. Prayers to this Poor Lil Girl & Her Family…

  33. I have read a lot of the comments & maybe its time that we all write to Six Flags addressing the changes that need to be made and what not, that is crazy that they as Employee’s of Six Flags can’t walk through the park and or go on rides and realize the changes that need correcting. I have been a Season Pass holder for years and have made my complaints loud n clear, can’t say that they have been thoroughly addressed, but maybe if we all started ringing those phones off the lines with complaints, just maybe then, they will listen… First Ninja, now Revolution, something’s gotta give and the People Should Demand as Paying Customers to be Heard!!!

  34. Irene Dlm says:

Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in Peace sweet child.. Condolences to her family.

My understanding of roller coasters is that there is no regulation on how they are built. So the amount of G’s your pulling is up to the designer and the theme park owner. I wonder how bad it is on your body.
