Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s mission of providing first class health care for the community goes beyond the hospital walls with quarterly “Care for Your Heart” Health Fairs.

The next free community health fair is scheduled for Friday, May 13, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Canyon Country Community Center.

During the health fair, the community is invited to participate in free health screenings and receive valuable healthcare tips and information to promote heart health. The goal is to encourage SCV residents to take a more active role in managing their health and become better healthcare partners with their own physicians by offering access to resources and education.

The health fair offers free health education materials, nutrition and smoking cessation information, and a series of health screenings, including:

Ø Blood Pressure Monitoring

Ø Height and Weight Analysis

Ø Body Composition Analysis

Ø Cholesterol Test (12-hour fasting recommended)

Ø Glucose Test (12-hour fasting recommended)

Ø Stroke Education

Ø Diabetes Education

Ø Carotid Artery Screening

Join us at the Canyon Country Community Center, located 18792 Flying Tiger Drive in Canyon Country. The health fair is open to the community; admission and health screenings are free. Spanish speaking materials and translators are available. For more information, please call 661.200.1306.
