Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
Last week we had 5 Part-1 crimes reported in the Saugus area. The first was a commercial burglary from a jewelry store in the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on March 3rd. The suspects damaged two businesses in the burglary. Santa Clarita Detectives are actively working the case.
There was an arson in the 27600 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on March 6th. A juvenile was detained by deputies after lighting a trash can of fire.
Two vehicle burglaries were reported over the past week. The first occurred in the 25100 block of Barnhill Road sometime between February 16th through March 6th. The victim discovered his stereo had been stolen out of his vehicle. The second vehicle burglary occurred in the 28000 block of La Plante Way between February 28th through March 3rd. The victim discovered multiple items stolen out of his vehicle between the indicated times. It is unknown how entry was made into the vehicle.
An attempt theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 28000 block of Caraway Lane on March 3rd. A witness saw two males attempting to take items from an unlocked vehicle while a third male stood watch. The three males fled the location after the witness yelled at them.
There were multiple arrests made over the past week in Saugus. The arrests made were for narcotics, theft and arson.
