Pet Me Happy Treats logoSanta Clarita-based Pet Me Happy Treats, maker of all-natural Artisan Dog Treats with Oregon Blueberries, celebrates its official Grand Opening with a Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Shelter Hope Pet Shop in Valencia on Tuesday, July 11 at 5 p.m. sharp.

At least two members of the Santa Clarita City Council will attend.

In anticipation, Pet Me Happy Treats has updated and relaunched its e-commerce website at PetMeHappy.com. The company’s healthy cookie-shaped Artisan Dog Treats are now available for purchase online in resealable 2 oz., 6 oz. and 12 oz. bags and larger bulk quantities.

The social-media-friendly website also includes a “Pet Tales” newsletter opt-in and links to Pet Me Happy’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest accounts.

Artisan Dog Treats are now sold in three brick and mortar retail outlets in Santa Clarita as well as at the Pet Me Happy online store.

“Our grand opening, new website and first retail outlets are major milestones along the Pet Me Happy trail,” said co-founder/CEO Stephen K. Peeples.

“We’re delighted to host Pet Me Happy’s grand opening,” said Dani Caouette, Shelter Hope owner. “We’re going to make it a ‘Pet Me Happy Day’ at Shelter Hope.”

A Canyon Country resident, Peeples and his wife Nadine founded Pet Me Happy Treats in summer 2015. After extensive R&D, the couple brought Artisan Dog Treats with Oregon Blueberries to market in September 2016.

“Our treats have been an immediate hit with about 95 percent of the dogs who’ve tried them,” Peeples said. “We get rave reviews, even from surprised pet parents whose dogs are ridiculously picky. Now, we’re looking to expand our online and in-store customer base further through more marketing and media, and expanding our product line.”

Pet Me Happy Treats plans to introduce a cranberry Artisan Dog Treat, which would swap cranberries for blueberries while keeping the treat’s other nine tried-and-true ingredients the same, later in 2017.

“Cranberries have the same healthful benefits for people and dogs, and our initial testing shows us that dogs like cranberry-flavored treats just as much as the blueberry,” Peeples said.
