Paul D. Marks and Pam Ripling will appear at The Open Book on Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m. to discuss their writing, the writing life and sign copies of their books.
Marks is the author of the Shamus Award-Winning mystery-thriller White Heat and the noir-thriller Vortex, as well as other noir and mystery fiction. Ripling, writing as Anne Carter, is an award-winning author of romantic mysteries, lighthouse fiction and a variety of other works, including Cape Seduction and Angel’s Gate.
They will discuss their books, the Southern California writing life, and sign copies of their books, which will be available for purchase at the store.
“We’re both local to the SCV area and wanted to do a book event closer to home to introduce our books and stories to readers in the area,” Marks said. “We also want to support our local independent bookstore, The Open Book, and share the fun of browsing a ‘real’ bookstore.”
