  7. Jean Sehic says:

I thought I was in compton for a moment with the Helicopter over head..

  8. Wow they been killing many people lately in Santa Clarita

  9. One of the reasons I live here is that it suppose to be a safer area. WTH…throw that out these days

  10. They haven’t revealed how he died? Don’t jump to conclusion that scv is like Compton, might be another victim of over dose

  11. Relax yall its still safe, lotta popos reside their.

  12. Family dispute, which turned into murder is what channel 7 reported, have man in custody.

  13. Is always the white people who commit suicide stupid people

  14. Relax it’s just domestic

  15. Anyone know what was going on with the helicopter flying over the abc condos on seirra hwy?

  16. Waiting for some white person to make a Jakes Way comment. Come on, you know it’s coming.

  17. Suzie Acosta says:

Good god. We don’t have a serial killer on the loose. Wanna feel unsafe? Go to Compton wearing red – then you’re in trouble.

  18. SCV has just as much crime per capita as any other city. Canyon country is has undergone a huge change since I lived there. We have homeless living in the river bed, Shootings, stabbings, drugs and all the rest. We certainly didn’t find utopia.

    • It’s called the Internet. You now KNOW about more crime, but there isn’t more crime.

    • That’s right alex, there’s no crime in the SCV. Thanks for setting that straight for me dear.

    • The statistics must be all wrong then I guess.

    • He didn’t say there isn’t ANY crime . He said , we NOW KNOW about the crime more .. Because of the internet .

There has ALWAYS been crime .. But without the media , how are we to know ? It seems as if its a lot now and more common but its because its actually getting reported on the news and internet .

    • Is that like if a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, it doesn’t make a sound.

Yes there has always been crime. However, I don’t happen to get my news from the Internet or facebook. I guess most people do nowadays. But not me.
We are hearing about more crime because there is more crime. It’s that simple. People are more and more desperate these days and over Summer the crime waves go up. That is a statistic. Not a news report.

    • Amanda Vera says:

So Stephanie, most of the shootings and stabbing a lately have been family dispute/domestic violence. Yes it’s still murder but it’s not a random person going and killing another person. It’s family issues that escalade into these things happening. I still think SCV is a great place to live. Anywhere you go your going to have crime but we are nowhere near downtown LA!

    • “I don’t get news from the Internet or Facebook”

Aren’t you commenting on a news page on fb?

      ::face Palm::

    • Also…these “statistics” you speak of…. Tell me about them?

    • I see the Homeless and drug issues as increasing problems. There are so many more homeless now, you see them or their stolen shopping carts filled with crap all over Canyon Country. It’s not the same town it was 20 years ago.

  19. What ever happen to the body they found in the truck on the car on golden valley. Did they ever release the identity of victim and cause of death? If anybody knows let me know

  20. Shirley says:

What the hell is going on? Every week a dead body, a suicide, a drug overdose, a hit and run. I moved out here because of the whole feeling safer thing, I lived in Encino before. It’s beginning to feel alot like the valley.

  21. Joseph Towry says:

Are we up to 1 body a month now?

  22. WTH this is becoming an every day occurrence in Santa Clarita!

  23. Awful…what is going on in Santa Clarita these days!!!!!

  24. And another on bites the dust. Another one gone.

  25. Um people, if you notice, most (of course not all) of the recent murders have been by family members, this seems to be the situation here also.. If your family has one of these, it doesn’t matter what city you live in!!! Domestic violence happens EVERYWHERE!!!!

  27. Trever Klein says:

Police were called at 6:50, and responded at 8:40. Took 2 hours for them to get there. Tax dollars hard at work.

  29. Dave Lee says:

I’m sure it is Narcisuss Crest is about 6 houses down the hill from us.

  31. Alex must be running for mayor or something . Lolololol. If ya really wanna know what’s going on out here…. the sheriff runs a monthly crime report as well as their annual report. Year after year crime goes up out here. I tend to think that with all the low income housing going up and the lack of police presence, crime will continue to increase. We really need another substation soon.

  32. I wish there was a dislike button… lol

  33. IRene Betsch says:

Seems a lot of dead bodies are showing up in SCV lately. What’s up with that?

  34. He probably smoked someone’s blunt! !
