St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Santa Clarita will hold its sixth annual Pysanky making class on Sunday, March 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the church’s Upstairs Lounge.
Artists Barbara Wampole and Theresa Morales will be the instructors.
Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs decorated using the wax and dye method. Mothers traditionally passed on this ancient tradition to their children during the Lenten weeks prior to Easter.
This class is free and open to all adults. Eggs, utensils and tools for applying the wax will be provided, but those who wish to bring their own eggs and other supplies may do so.
Reservations are required for the class as seats are limited. Phone the church office at 661-259-7307 M-F to reserve a space in the class.
Regrets, but no children are permitted due to the use of dyes.
St. Stephen’s is located at 24901 Orchard Village Road in Santa Clarita, near the intersection with Lyons Avenue.
As always, more information may be obtained by visiting St. Stephen’s website at www.st-stephens.org, or by calling the church office M-F at 661-259-7307.

This is how my family decorates eggs at Easter. I’ve gone to this class (even helped instruct the participants) and I would highly recommend it. Lots of fun!!!
