On Wednesday, May 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the City of Santa Clarita will host a public information meeting to discuss the Newhall Ranch Road Bridge Widening project. The meeting will be hosted at the Bridgeport Clubhouse, located at 27002 Edgewater Lane. No RSVP is needed to attend.
The project aims to widen the Newhall Ranch Road Bridge over San Fancisquito Creek by approximately 70 feet, increasing the number of lanes from six to eight. The project will also include street and bridge lighting and a new, low-water-use landscaped median that will extend from Avenue Tibbitts to McBean Parkway.
In addition, a 16-foot wide multi-use trail will be added connecting to the west bank section of the trail by constructing the missing trail link under the bridge. All residents in Santa Clarita are welcome to attend the meeting to learn more about this project.
The City has created illustrative maps of the project area that will be shown during the public information meeting. The meeting will also outline constraints and obstacles for the project with an opportunity for discussion.

Well Yeah the road narrows down just there and its frantic trying to get over to make the right turn for Valencia High School to much going on it would help if the road was a bit wider to maneuver better.
Need the western bike path to go under N.R.R. As it is now, the bike loop is disrupted and dangerous having to cross NRR at Dickason. Also need a bike lane on the new bridge so bikers can cross safely from one side of the path to the other w/o having to go down to Vons/Haggens or Decoro (which also has no safe bike lane to cross from side to side).
Bike lane that takes you from one end of McBean to the other side please.
