The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center invites senior citizens to the No Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic presented by Dr. Evelyn Vega of Happy Pets Veterinary Center.
The clinic will be happening this Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the center, 22900 Market St. in Newhall.
Vega is offering free vaccinations for dogs and cats belonging to seniors. She believes that a healthy pet is a happy pet, Vega said in a news release.
Rabies, parvo, and distemper vaccinations will be available at the clinic.
The SCV Senior Center asks to please keep the pet on a leash or in a cage.
Vega has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Santa Clarita Valley since July 2000.
She has her medical doctorate from Purdue University and also attended Loyola Marymount University and Cal State Los Angeles to complete her Masters in Biology.
She has also run her own in-home mobile veterinary service, performing veterinary house calls from Santa Clarita to Palmdale for over five years.
In a reader’s poll, Santa Clarita Living Magazine named Vega Best Veterinarian.
