On Saturday, July 20, the band Prussia will cool down Central Park with some funk, blues and soul. The four-member band based in nearby North Hollywood will perform during this year’s Concerts in the Park series, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union.
The free concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.
Prussia’s “West Coast Funk” style will bring smooth tunes and funky beats to the Concerts in the Park stage. If their name sounds familiar, it is probably because you have seen them perform at the City’s SENSES events or Light Up Main Street in 2018. The band is excited and ready to make their Concerts in the Park debut.
Prussia is made up of four band members who hail from different parts of the world, including Venezuela, Georgia and Pennsylvania. They came together while studying music at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. The band’s unique sound and electric live performances have earned them two Downbeat Student Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Pop/Rock/Blues category.
Concertgoers will enjoy Prussia’s original music, including songs “Sugar” and “The Last Minute.” Remember to bring blankets and lawn chairs so you can relax on the grass. Attendees can also picnic at the park with snacks from the different food vendors that will be on site.
