Get ready for a “paw”-some good time. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will open its gates for an end-of-the-season pool party on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., when canines of all sizes can splash, swim and beat the heat with their human families.
Play areas include Castaway Cove for small dogs and the Forgotten Sea Wave pool, sans waves, for all dogs. Admission is $25 and includes parking, with a percentage of the proceeds benefitting the L.A. County Animal Care Foundation.
“This year, for the first time ever, we are hosting a special event for dogs, when pet parents can enjoy fun in the sun at the waterpark with their canine best friends,” said Park President, Neal Thurman. “We are honored to be partnering with the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation to support the important work they do in helping so many animals thrive and find their forever homes.”
The Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Paw Pool-ooza event includes:
· Castaway Cove for small dogs only. This large interactive water play area includes waterfalls, water cannons and tide pools of Octopus Island where the water depth reaches 12 inches;
· Forgotten Sea wave pool. The region’s largest body of water with a beach entry; and
· Specialty food and drinks featuring puppuccinos during “Yappy Hour”
To participate in Paw Pool-ooza, dogs must be spayed or neutered and have proof of current vaccinations (rabies, DHLP and Bordetella). Humans must present signed release waivers (available online at https://www.sixflags.com/hurricaneharborla/special-events/celebration/paw-pool-ooza). Space is limited for this event.
