Flair Cleaners, Southern California’s leading eco-friendly dry cleaners, is working to build awareness and raise funds to help cure breast, colon, prostate and pediatric cancers throughout October.
Customers and community members can donate all month at all four Flair Cleaners locations, including the Valencia store at 27011 McBean Parkway (at Magic Mountain Parkway).
“These diseases affect thousands in our communities, including our customers, friends, and family,” said Gary Futterman, owner of Flair Cleaners.
“We will be taking donations to support four nonprofits that are doing important work to find cures for these devastating diseases,” Futterman said. “In addition, we will provide information on prevention and symptoms of breast, colon, prostate, and pediatric cancers, and highlight the nonprofits that we are supporting, throughout the month.”
One hundred percent of all donations will go directly to these nonprofits as specified by customers, with Flair pledging to match the total donations up to $5,000 for the campaign.
• Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation – dedicated to achieving a future without breast cancer by engaging the public and the scientific communities in innovative research.
• Colorectal Cancer Alliance – providing support for patients and families, caregivers, and survivors; raising awareness of preventive measures; and inspiring efforts to fund critical research on colon cancer.
• ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer – fighting to end prostate cancer, ZERO advances research, improves the lives of men and families, and inspires action.
• CURE Childhood Cancer – raising funds to advance research, lobbying for important legislation, and providing tangible support to thousands of childhood cancer patients and their families.
We’d appreciate it if, on your next visit to Flair, you’d ask your customer service representative how to donate. Together we can make a difference for years to come fighting these and all forms of cancer.
About Flair Cleaners
With a reputation built on innovation and customer service, Flair Cleaners has been your Southern California dry cleaner for more than 60 years. And, while times and fashion may have changed, one thing has not: Flair’s commitment to help customers look their best. Flair’s commitment to impeccable quality and customer service began when the Futterman and Singer families first opened a dry cleaning business in Chicago in 1958. Their tradition of excellence continued when the families’ first Southern California cleaners opened in 1963. Today, Flair Cleaners has locations throughout Southern California.
Flair was one of the first cleaners in Southern California to adopt the GreenEarth dry cleaning process, the industry’s premier all-natural cleaning method. Its state-of-the-art, highly efficient equipment conserves resources and safely cleans garments and household items.
