[REP] – The Repertory East Playhouse, Santa Clarita’s only professional equity waiver theatre, was named in the L.A. Times Readers Choice Awards as Best Dramatic Theatre in San Fernando/Foothills and Ventura.

The category of Best Dramatic Theatre was broken down into sic regions in the LA and OC areas. Other theatres recognized were The Pantages Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse, Kirk Douglas Theatre, South Coast Rep, Lewis Family Playhouse and James R. Armstrong Theatre.

The REP has been producing professional live entertainment for the Santa Clarita Valley since January 2005. Over 6,000 audience members pass through the REP’s doors each year. As the only professional live theatre in the Santa Clarita Valley, the REP provides 200,000+ residents with professional theatre on a small, intimate scale.

“We are very proud and quite honored to be named amongst these other amazing theatres. It’s truly great and we are proud The REP makes its home in Santa Clarita.”, says Ovington Michael Owston, The REP’s Co-Artistic Director.
