[REP] – This international multi-award winning production of R.C. Sherriff’s masterpiece, “Journey’s End,” is a must-see. Based on the author’s own experience in the trenches, this gripping tale about ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances celebrates humor and courage, engaging audiences with a compelling insight of how in the face of adversity, the human spirit will always triumph.
Set in St Quentin in 1917, eighteen-year-old 2nd Lieutenant Raleigh is the new arrival in the company commanded by his former schoolboy friend, Captain Stanhope. There’s only three years between them, but a lifetime of experience separates the pair as Raleigh discovers that the man in army greens is much changed from the boy he left behind in cricketing whites.
Funded by a grant from The City of Santa Clarita, The REP will create and host a Veterans Memorial and Appreciation Museum. The VMA Museum will be focused around an educational center that will celebrate and show recognition to Santa Clarita’s veterans of foreign wars.
This exhibit featuring art work, artifacts and images along with a series of discussions to include guest speakers from the local community, will help educate audiences about local veterans and their experiences serving in the US Armed Forces.
