Have been a resident of SC for more than 30 years. Today I was ashamed — SC has a contract with Wolf’s Towing who takes advantage of the disabled. According to Channel 7th newscast, the SC family had a medical emergency causing the family of 4 with 2 young adopted children) to lose their van to towing. Apparently, the van was parked in their neighborhood but while the family was attending to the father’s/husband’s health issue in the ICU, the family van was towed. They produced medical records to the Sheriff’s department and to the department’s credit all towing charges were waived — yeah Sheriff’s dept. However, when they produced same to Wolf’s towing, Wolf’s was heartless “Everyone has a story.” Wolf’s would not forgive the charges. As of 9/13, the bill was $600. Family cannot pay, removed their belongings and have given up trying to get their vehicle back. This type of HEARTLESSNESS does not reflect what Santa Clarita is. I request the CITY review WOLF’s towing contract and take action. WE SC residents do not believe Wolf’s Towing represents who SC is, i.e., take advantage of a family who had a medical emergency and a family that now has a disabled father. WOLF’s towing and their heartless tactics have no place in our fine city–for what? A $600 storage bill. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON WOLFS — AND SC THAT HAS A TOWING CONTRACT WITH WOLF’S. PEOPLE REMEMBER…..
