Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
A residential burglary was reported near the 27400 block of Seco Canyon Road. In this incident the suspect entered through a window at the rear of the location. The suspect stole two external hard drives from the location.
A petty theft was reported near the 21400 Rosedell Drive. In this incident the suspect was checking car doors to see if they were un locked. The victim saw the suspect ransacking his vehicle so he detained her pending deputies’ arrival. The suspect was arrested for theft from a vehicle and narcotics possession.
An unknown person cut away a piece of Saugus High Schools perimeter fence and stole it. The fence is chain link and is 6’ X 5’.
A grand theft auto was reported from the 26600 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. The victims 2000 Lexus ES300 was stolen from the location and was later recovered from the Bridgeport area in Valencia.
With tax season coming up remember that the IRS will never tell you that you will be arrested for not paying your taxes on time or request a tax payment over the phone. There have been numerous scams involving this type of activity recently.
