Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions, a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc., has announced that its Santa Clarita business operation, formerly Curtiss-Wright Controls Electronic Systems, was officially appraised at Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 on Jan. 6 by the SEI, Carnegie Mellon University.

Receiving CMMI Level 3 appraisal is an important accomplishment in the aerospace and defense market that CWCDS serves. Prime contractors increasingly seek sub-contractors who are able to meet CMMI Level 3 requirements to provide assurance that solid and proven processes are in place for software and system development.
