The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Summer Enforcement Team on Friday recovered several firearms from a male adult probationer who was barred from owning or possessing any.
On Saturday, deputies saved a dog from a hot car in Valencia and cited a man for illegally selling puppies in Stevenson Ranch, according to the station’s social media:
“Deputy breaks window to rescue dog. Around 12:30 p.m., there was a dog reported to be in a hot car at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall.
“When the deputy arrived, he observed the windows of the vehicle were all rolled up, no a/c, an empty water dish and the dog was panting heavily.
“The deputy smashed the window to extricate the dog. The dog is reported to be okay.”
“Thank you to the citizen who called and reported that someone was selling puppies out of their trunk in a Stevenson Ranch parking lot!
“It is illegal to sell puppies like that, not to mention the fact that it’s extremely hot outside.
“Deputies checked the welfare of the four pups to make sure they were okay, and said that the pups appeared to be in good health, and had food and water.
“Deputies cited the man, who was from out of town, for illegally selling the pups in public.”
