Invitations have gone this month to more than 1,000 potential sponsors and guests for Zonta’s 2016 Tribute to Women sponsored by Zonta Club of SCV. This year’s Tribute is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 4, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Honoree is Dr. Dianne Van Hook, leader and Chief Executive Officer of the Santa Clarita Community College District.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $5,000 for a Platinum Sponsor to $2,500 for a Gold Sponsor and $1,750 for a Mahogany Sponsor. Sponsored tables come with seating for 10 guests and may include premiere table location, VIP parking, wine, advertising in the event journal, recognition at the event itself, signage and audio/visual recognition at the event, according to the level of sponsorship.
Individual dinner tickets will be $125 per person on a space-available basis after sponsorship tables have been accommodated.
This year’s honoree: Dr. Dianne Van Hook
Zonta’s annual Tribute to Women is the local club’s main fundraiser each year and helps to support such local programs as Girls’ Robotics, Court Advocacy for domestic violence victims, LifeForward workshops, the annual Women in Service program, and a number of scholarships and fellowships for outstanding women. The local club also supports programs around the world that enrich the lives of women, through Zonta International.
The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live auction and the tribute itself. Zonta is proud to honor Dr. Van Hook for an unprecedented second time. As the youngest individual ever to become a California Community College CEO, she was first honored by Zonta in 1995 for her achievements. Two decades later, she is now the longest serving community college CEO in California, and this year’s Tribute will celebrate her outstanding contributions to Zonta International’s driving force of service for women in need.
Information on tickets or sponsorships for the Tribute is available by contacting Judy Penman at 661-252-9351 or tribute@scvzonta.org.
