The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Summer Crime Enforcement Team, launched in late May, made multiple arrests in the last week through the team’s proactive patrolling, the station reported Friday.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“We checked in with our recently launched Summer Crime Enforcement on their team’s activity.
“They arrested one 25-year-old woman who had multiple warrants that totaled well over $100k. She had warrants that included a $75k for possession of a controlled substance, $10k for trespassing, $10K for possession of drug paraphernalia and (2) $10k warrants for possession of a controlled substance.
“They also made contact with three additional adults while patrolling that were arrested on warrants in the system.
“They arrested at least four adults for driving on suspended licenses, and two adults for driving without having a license.
“On two different occasions, they noted individuals trespassing and ended up arresting them.
“Through their contacts, at least six adults were arrested for narcotics charges, all separate incidents.
“They also arrested an adult for forgery after he was found to be in possession of credit cards that did not belong to him.
“The team is out there working hard, trying to make a difference. None of these arrests were spurred by calls to the station. The deputies are out there proactively looking, trying their best to keep Santa Clarita safe.”
