The Susie Hansen Latin Band will headline the next edition of the Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series at Westfield Valencia Town Center on Friday, July 5, carrying on the Fourth of July weekend celebration.

Electric violinist and vocalist Susie Hansen plays fiery Latin jazz and salsa, creating music that brings audiences to their feet, dancing in the aisles. Hansen can solo as if her bow was afire.

“It’s a sizzling, swinging salsa band that you don’t want to miss,” said Barbara Myler, owner/producer of the Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series.

In addition to great music, the concert series’ dance sponsors, D’Wilfri Dance & Entertainment, will bring their talented Latin Dance troupe to perform, followed by informal dancing instruction with our audience.

Admission to all series concerts is free.

The Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series is an annual summer series featuring regional, national and international entertainers in a family-friendly, quaint street party setting offering activities for adults and children.

The series runs every Friday night through Aug. 2. Hours for the concerts are 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The events take place at 24250 Town Center Dr., in the street outside Westfield Valencia Town Center.

In addition to welcoming Westfield Valencia Town Center as the series’ host sponsor, some of the main series sponsors making this year’s concerts possible include Princess Cruises, the city of Santa Clarita, Mercedes-Benz of Valencia, Chiquita Canyon and Pleasantview Industries, as well as a variety of weekly sponsors.

Exclusive food vendors include Salt Creek Grille, also celebrating their 20th anniversary, and Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que. Returning as exclusive beer vendor is Wolf Creek Brewery.

In addition to the extraordinary sounds offered from some of the top jazz and blues recording artists in the world, the scheduled series brings a variety of activities for the entire family as well as a variety of food and beverages, including wine and beer for the adults.

No outside food or beverages, pets or photography/video recording are allowed.
