Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a man in Gorman suspected of trying to steal car parts from a vehicle that didn’t belong to him on Thursday night.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“Deputies patrolling Gorman late Thursday night saw a man who had the hood up on a car and appeared to be working on it.
“Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary — that is until they observed the male adult run and jump into a different car as soon as he spotted deputies.
“They made contact with the male adult, who had grease all over his hands, and found out he was allegedly trying to remove parts from a vehicle that did not belong to him.
“The suspect was also on active probation for felony burglary.
“Deputies arrested Eric Cornell, 30, of Valencia on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of heroin.
“He was transported and booked at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s jail.”
