[TRC] – The Outlets at Tejon, an upscale value retail destination under construction along Interstate 5 just over the Grapevine, has announced that H&M, the wildly popular Swedish fashion retailer, has chosen to locate at the new center, putting its store in the ideal location to serve consumers from Northwest Los Angeles County to Bakersfield.

H&M, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers known for offering fashion and quality at the best price, will open a 22,000-square-foot store this August at The Outlets at Tejon. The store will include full-priced collections for women and men, young women and men, with separate “store within store” sections for lingerie, accessories, maternity and its plus-size line H&M+. The Tejon Outlets store also will carry a children’s collection with clothing for newborns to 14 years.

“H&M has enormous appeal for men and women of all ages. It has the latest fashions at unbeatable prices as well as an exceptional selection of classic apparel,” said Hugh McMahon, Vice President of Commercial & Industrial Real Estate for Tejon Ranch Co. “H&M is just the first of many fine retailers that we will welcome to The Outlets at Tejon in the next few months.”

H&M was established in 1947 in Sweden and today has 3,000 stores in 53 countries around the globe. The company devotes considerable resources to sustainability through its supply chain, product lifecycle and the communities in which it operates.

Developed by Tejon Ranch Co. and The Rockefeller Group, the 320,000-square-foot outlet center is located just over the Grapevine on Interstate 5, one of California’s most traveled highways and is easily accessible from Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Santa Clarita, the Antelope Valley and the San Fernando Valley. EWB Development LLC, a well known national outlet consulting firm, is spearheading leasing and marketing.

The new center is well under construction and targeted for opening in August 2014.
