Gear up for another great month at The MAIN, located at 24266 Main Street, in Old Town Newhall! Tickets are now on sale for a variety of shows taking place in February.
Comedy Mashup is a group of working comedians and improvisers from all over Los Angeles. They come together once a month to put on a show that is half stand-up comedy and half improv. The show is Friday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m., and is geared towards an adult audience. Tickets are $12 presale and $18 on the day of the show.
The Society Comedy Troupe is bringing a hilarious and energetic team improv show titled “The Groundhog Day Show” to The MAIN. Similar to the TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” the performers ask for audience participation while creating improvised music, comedy and scenes. The show is Saturday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m., and is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $12 for seniors and students, and $15 for all others.
The 10 by 10 Variety Show occurs on the first Thursday of the month and features music, film, storytelling, magic, comedy and more! Ten performers, from a variety of genres, are selected to perform a 10-minute piece of their choosing. Every month is different, so you never know what you will see on stage! This month, The MAIN is proud to showcase champion Tango dancers Madeline Conroy and Paul Blinder as part of the 10 by 10 lineup. The show will be Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. and is free to attend.
Open Wings Theater Company presents “Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them,” a play about three kids – Kenny, his sister Edith, and their friend Benji – who are all but abandoned on a farm in remote Middle America. With little adult supervision, they feed and care for each other, making up rules as they go. But when Kenny’s and Benji’s relationship becomes more than friendship, and Edith shoots something she really shouldn’t shoot, the formerly indifferent outside world comes barging in, whether they want it to or not. The play runs February 15, 16, 22, and 23 at 8:00 p.m. and February 17 and 24 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and students.
Note by Note is a free musical night delighting audiences with a variety of genres. Bands, duos and soloists will perform a wide range of styles, including rock, folk, Celtic, Americana, blues, jazz, country, experimental, western and more! The show is Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m. and is free to attend.
