[KHTS] – The Valencia baseball team pulled off the comeback of the season against West Ranch and won its fourth Foothill League game in a row.
The Vikings scored six runs in the seventh inning to win the game, 7-6.
Devin Davis knocked in the winning run with a two-out double. He was 3-for-5 in the game and scored two runs.
Valencia ruined an outstanding pitching performance by West Ranch’s Jake Bird. He gave up one unearned run in 5 2/3 innings and struck out 10.
Parker Bacon was 3-for-4 with a double and drove in three runs for the Wildcats.
In other action in the Foothill League, Hart beat Canyon, 3-1. Colby Kaneshiro was 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for Hart.
Hart is all alone in first place in the Foothill League standings with a 5-1 record.
Saugus beat Golden Valley, 8-1. Adam Sinatra doubled and drove in three runs for Saugus.
West Ranch, Valencia and Saugus are tied for second place in league with 4-2 records.
In college baseball, The Master’s College split a doubleheader against Cal State San Marcos. The Mustangs, ranked No. 12 in the NAIA, won the first game, 5-0, and lost the second game, 5-4.
The Master’s College is 35-13 overall.
