If a professional car thief wants your vehicle, unfortunately there is little you can do to prevent it. But there are some extra crime prevention measures you can take to help prevent your vehicle from being stolen or tampered with. Some of the things are as simple as always close and lock your doors and windows. Use steering wheel or pedal locking devices. Have a professional install an ignition immobilizer. Car alarms are helpful, but are often ignored nowadays. Park strategically. Use secure parking areas, use your garage, park in well-lit areas, and where your vehicle is visible.
On Sunday the 9th at approximately 7:45 p.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 23400 block of Newhall Avenue. Taken was a lady’s purse containing make-up.
Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
