Saugus, Zone 4 Update

Snapshot: 08/25/2014 – 08/31/2014
The following Part 1 crimes were reported in Saugus over the past week:
There was a robbery reported in the 22600 block of Copper Hill Drive on August 25th. The suspect stole her father’s cell phone by force. Responding deputies located the suspect a short distance away. The suspect fought with deputies when she was taken into custody.
An assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 28100 block of Robin Avenue on August 26th. The victim was attacked by his roommate after an argument. Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect without incident.
We had a theft from unlocked vehicle in the 27900 block of Featherstar Avenue in the early morning hours of August 31st. The victim discovered that items were stolen from his wallet which was left in his unlocked vehicle. Detectives are working the case.
There were two shoplifts reported over the past week. The first occurred in the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on August 25th. The suspect fled the location after attempting to steal miscellaneous items from the business. Detectives are following up on the case. The second shoplift occurred in the 26800 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on August 27th. The suspect stole medication from the store when the pharmacist left it unattended. Detectives are following up on leads to this incident.
