Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information
Snapshot for the week of 07/21/2014 to 07/27/2014
Good Morning, Valencia residents (Zone 5).
This week we saw a huge drop in Part 1 crimes. It appears all the safety tips and your continued efforts to keep your community safe and your property secure is paying off. Thanks for all the hard work and keep on doing what you’re doing Valencia residents.
Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Zone 5 (Valencia).
A grand theft occurred near the 28200 block of Constellation Road. Two unknown suspects parked behind the location and removed a copper coil from a refrigerator that was left out overnight due to repairs. This case is currently under active investigation.
We had three shoplifting burglaries occur near the 26400 block of Town Center Drive. In all three cases the suspects were arrested by Santa Clarita Valley patrol deputies. These cases are currently under active investigation.
As a reminder, please do not leave valuables in plain view in your vehicles. Many incidents can be avoided if you take the time to ensure your vehicles are secure and your property is properly stored. Always double check your windows and doors at night before going to bed. As the weather gets hotter and you travel with your pets, please remember to never leave your animal unattended in your vehicle in this hot weather. It can become extremely dangerous and deadly. Always remember your safety is number one, and keeping your family safe is my number one priority. Thank you for your continued efforts in keeping your neighbors safe and helping your Zone on a daily basis.
As always, please feel free to call or email me.
